Project Description
La Voz Ahogada Projecte Escènic is a theatre company based in Barcelona, dedicated to promoting democratic memory through the performing arts. Specialized in working hand in hand with memorialist organizations such as the Asociación Catalana de Personas Ex-presas Políticas del Franquismo(ACPEPF) and the Amical of the International Brigades of Catalonia, among others, in collaboration with historians specialized in each subject, witnesses, and other agents of civic participation.
La Voz Ahogada is supported by the Barcelona Provincial Council, the Democratic Memorial, the ICUB, the Ramon Llull Institute, and the Ministry of Territorial Policy (Secretariat of State for Democratic Memory).
The productions of La Voz Ahogada Projecte Escènic are professional in nature and aimed at the general public, and it also has a line of specific projects for young audiences (projects with secondary schools and universities).
