La petita malumaluga is an internationally-acclaimed company of world-class dancers and musicians from Barcelona that have created a unique approach to performing arts
through interacting with the most incredible audience: babies, toddlers and their families. We believe in respectful creative projects, provocatively non-childish languages and artistically contemporary productions.
Over the years, we have provided a unique vision of the arts for children and their families through innovative creations and sophisticated, large-scale productions.
The company has performed in some of the most important festivals, venues and performing arts markets on the international scene. For many of them it has been the first time that they have included a production for babies, toddlers and their families in their programs.
We have collaborated with: Bergen International Festival (Norway), Shangai Children Art’s Theatre (Xina), Grec Festival (Barcelona), National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts Weiwuying (Taiwan), Boing Festival (UK), Le Carré Blanc (France), Mercat dels Flors (Barcelona), Teatro Español (Madrid), Macao Cultural Center (Macao), Performing Arts Festival of Shangai – SPAF (Xina), Teatre Nacional de Catalunya (Barcelona), Mierscher Kulturhaus in Mersch (Luxemburg), Randers Teater & Teatret Gruppe (Denmark)… And soon we will be at The Nordic House in the Faroe Islands (Faroe Islands), Youth Theatre – European Spring, International Theatre Festival (Arkhangelsk, Russia), Zorlu PSM – İstanbul Müzik Festivali’yle (Estanbul, Turkey) …
Since our first production in 2009, we have created 10 productions, toured in 15 countries, attracted almost a million spectators around the world, and received an exceptional response from audiences, critics, and professionals who have considered us as one of the international references in our field.
