Project Description
Ada Vilaró is a multidisciplinary artist: author, director, performer, actress, and producer. She has been dedicated to the world of culture for 25 years and has created, directed, acted in, and accompanied more than 20 productions that have toured around the world. Her works are performed in theaters, public spaces, and unconventional venues.
She is the co-founder and artistic director of the Festival de Creació Contemporània Escena Poblenou in Barcelona. She is also the founder and artistic director of the Itineràncies performance festival in Prats de Lluçanès (Barcelona).
For the Escena Poblenou festival, she received the Maria José Ragué Award (Performing Arts Critics Awards, 2024), the Barcelona Medal of Honor (2015), and the Sebastià Gasch FAD Award (2014).
She was also a co-founder and performer of the Kamchatka company, with the shows Kamchatka (which received the award for best show at the Gent Festival in Belgium) and Habitaculum, also participating in national and international tours until 2011.
